  2. Join Hands is the second studio album by British alternative rock band Siouxsie and the Banshees. It was released in September by the record label Polydor. Upon its release, it was hailed by the British press, including Melody Maker, Sounds, NME and Record Mirror. Pressed on G vinyl/5(69).
  3. The rest of the album is very aggressive, specifically the abrasively hypnotic "Premature Burial" which whips up the band into a frenzy as if the dead have risen and decided to pogo dance. The inclusion of what was their first song "The Lord's Prayer" drives home the fact that this album is an island unto itself/5(69).

  7. Aug 28,  · Second studio album, originally released in September by Polydor (except in the USA by Geffen and in Australia by Interfusion). Recorded at Air Studios, London, and produced by Mike Stavrou and Nils constranilcomdownccomcapsmetphytomcone.co and music by Siouxsie and The Banshees, except "Poppy Day" (words adapted from the first two stanzas of "In Flanders Fields" by John McCrae, ) and "O Mein /5().
  8. The Banshees’ second LP (’79) haunts with images of war and brooding, bleak walls of sound. The British press sure took notice of this one: "Regal Zone," "Placebo Effect," "Playground Twist," their stunning treatment of "The Lords Prayer" and more!
